ISAF 2019 (Internship & Study Abroad Fair), a join initiative of KLU´s CDO (Career Development Office) and International Office (IO), took place last January 18, 2019 and was attended by over 85 students from KLU´s BSc and MSc study programs.

In the first part of the event, twelve students reported about their internships in Germany and abroad with different companies across different industries. Freshmen and exchange students had the opportunity to ask the speakers questions and to discuss relevant topics on KLU´s Internship Program on a peer-to-peer basis. The returning and now former interns were hosted by the following companies and/or organizations:

  • World Food Programme (Humanitarian logistics)
  • Help Logistics & The Internaitonal Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (Humanitarian logistics)
  • Aurubis AG (Metals and minerals)
  • CGI (Computer and IT services)
  • Deloitte (Management consulting)
  • KPMG (Management consulting)
  • Breeze technologies (Environmental consulting)
  • BMW Group (Automotive manufacturing)
  • Beiersdorf (Consumer Products)
  • FreightHub (Logistics and transportation)
  • Agility do Brasil Logística Internacional S.A. (Logistics and transportation)
  • Mulungushi Textile Importa & Export Namibia (Wholesale trade, import/export)

In addition to the reports on last year´s Internship Program, KLU´s IO set up a fair-like platform with several booths, each one staffed by a student returning from their exchange semester in countries such as Australia, Austria, Brazil, Colombia, France, Thailand, and many more. The team of IO provided 1:1 counselling for all students interested in spending their third semester abroad in one of KLU´s partner universities worldwide.
